Lindsay Arnold creates watercolour drawings that are quietly witty and slyly subversive. The calming colours and unassuming characters draw the viewer in. As we move through the garden the viewer begins to notice the discord between tone and content. Something is amiss in this garden. The world portrayed in Garden Immaculate is pale, delicate, verging on sterile. The garden appears to be vast, but alas, there is no way in and no way out. This exhibit is brought to Humboldt by OSAC and the Humboldt Area Arts Council. Lindsay will be in Humboldt for an Opening Reception/ Artists Talk on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:30 pm.
