Exhibit Proposals

The Humboldt and District Gallery is a community-based art gallery. We are committed to showing artwork that shares the stories of the people and communities of Humboldt and area. We also aim to display high quality exhibitions that give our visitors access to a variety of media, styles and artists unavailable elsewhere in the community.

With these dual goals in mind, we encourage artists to submit applications to the Gallery for consideration. We welcome proposals from artists of varying experience and skill levels working in any type of media. Maintaining the mix of established and new local artists is important to the Gallery, so if you feel your work may be of interest to us, please submit a proposal. All submissions will be reviewed by our Exhibit Committee and offers to exhibit will be put forward in consultation with them. Shows are booked according to the Gallery's exhibit schedule. The Gallery is also in a position to assist artists new to exhibiting with the process of mounting a show.

Submissions

The Gallery offers a range of spaces in which to exhibit works. These spaces can accommodate various types of shows. Based on the exhibit schedule, spaces within the Gallery will be offered to artists. Should you be chosen to exhibit, the size of the allotted gallery space will be included in your offer. Exhibition spaces are on the first and second floors of the Gallery.

As our exhibit schedule is often set 1-2 years in advance, we akd for your patience with this process. Please have all of your material to us by the closing date noted below, or your submission will have to wait until the next Committee meeting.
